I was recently visiting my niece in Santa Barbara, and she gave me an assignment to paint a hand-lettered graffiti-ish canvas. She wrote a great quote and wanted it painted on a canvas for her son’s musician-themed apartment decor.

I’m a general crafter but definitely a rookie when it comes to painting lettering on a canvas. My first thought was I don’t think I can do that but I like to push myself to new creative heights! I now definitely have a greater appreciation for the art of hand lettering a canvas.

Here is a fun look into my successes and mistakes! Thank God it was supposed to look “rough”.
