It’s time to create something amazing using recycled materials! In this video, learn how to transform an ordinary egg carton into beautiful earrings. This easy project will show you how to recycle diy crafts into artistic creations. Tiffany Windsor creates quick and easy dangle earrings from egg cartons. Colored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens and highlighted with Prima Chalk Ink, these earrings are very lightweight and can be created in any color combination.

MATERIALS
Egg carton (fiber cardboard is the best for this project because of the texture)
Scissors
Brush tip marker pen (color of your choice for base color of earrings) or acrylic paint
Chalk ink pads (light blue and light yellow) or acrylic paint
Hole punch (small for earring findings)
Optional: Gloss spray sealer or brush on sealer
Fish hook earrings
Jewelry pliers
Cut designs from flat parts of egg carton.
The egg carton rectangle is easy to cut but you can also use a die cutting machine for more intricate designs.
Use brush marker to apply color. Be sure to get into the nooks and crannies.
Repeat for both earrings. Let dry.
Gently run light blue chalk ink over surface for a dry brush effect. Repeat with light yellow.
Punch small hole for earring finding.
Apply satin or gloss sealer. Note that the earrings on the right are unsealed and the earrings on the left are sealed which resulted in a slight color change so be certain to test your sealer. Add fish hook earrings and enjoy!
