I found this small glass spice jar at the Dollar store and what’s cool is that the shaker top can also double as a flower frog!

I work on a silicone mat so I just marked the top and the bottom of the jar onto the mat to give me a measuring guide for cutting my branches.

Here is my biggest hint! Apply 3 lines of Tacky Glue to the jar and set it aside for about 15 minutes to let the glue start drying while you cut your stems. This small spice jar took about 21 pieces.

A lot of people ask why I don’t just use hot glue for this project. I have found that many times the hot glue can release from the glass when it is exposed to extreme hot or cold temps, that is why I always reach for my Aleene’s Tacky Glue for this type of project.

If you just can’t live without using your hot glue on this project, apply your Tacky Glue first and then apply your hot glue. The hot glue will hold it instantly and the Aleene’s Tacky Glue will hold it forever.

Leave your jar sitting on the table and start pressing your twigs into the glue. Keep checking to be sure that they are straight up and down on the jar.

When you have covered the entire jar, gently press to be sure that all the twigs are firmly embedded into the glue. To make it easier for the next step, set aside to dry or if you can’t wait, go ahead to next step!
