AdTech Synergi Freedom Cordless Hot Glue Gun
AdTech Premiere Glue Sticks
Aleene’s Tacky Glue
Silicone roll mat
Metallic spray paint
Thrifted frame with mat and glass
Optional: background (scrapbook) paper

Select beautiful floral pattern. (When you search Canva for “illustrations”, you will find many selections for florals and other designs.)

Place pattern under silicone mat. (Be sure to select a silicone mat that you can see through!)

Using pattern as guide, start drawing design with hot glue.

Continue until entire design is drawn with hot glue.

Let hot glue sit until cool to the touch. This should only take a few minutes. Gently peel back starting with the edges and remove design from mat.

In a well ventilated area, spray smooth side of decal with gold metallic paint (or paint color of your choice).

If using a thrifted frame, deconstruct to remove any prior artwork but preserve the mat and glass.

If desired, glue a new background paper to back of mat with Tacky glue. Reassemble frame.

Glue decal to front of glass with dabs of Tacky glue. NOTE: if you have a shadowbox type of frame, you can glue the decal behind the glass, otherwise, this outside glue technique is very COOL!
Designer Notes:
The AdTech Synergi Freedom Glue Gun is perfect for this project. The trigger is easy to pull and the gun is lightweight. Since it is cordless, it’s easy to maneuver to all areas of your pattern. The AdTech Premiere Glue Sticks are a DREAM! I used the 6″ sticks which last longer for these larger glue projects and as the packaging says, they are 80% less stringing. LOVE!
